Two big pieces of news announced today by the Livescribe team – Livescribe Connect for Pulse and Echo Smartpen’s, and an expansion of the Smartpen product family with the introduction of the affordable 2GB Echo Smartpen. Livescribe Connect is a software solution that works with Livescribe’s free desktop software. With Livescribe Connect, Livescribe Smartpen owners can quickly send Pencasts from paper to applications such as Google Docs, Evernote, Facebook, email, or to their mobile devices including iPhones and iPads. Over the past few weeks I’ve had a chance to experiment with the new iPhone application for Livescribe. Called Pencasts, the application allows you to share your Pencasts with your preferred Mac device or even browse public pencasts by popularity or category. Having known about this for a while we were pretty excited to see the application released and I have to say it does live up to expectations.
